PSY TRANCE DOUBTS

hi all i am new to fl studio i am trying to make psy trance and i am using all the presets that come with fl studio i am wondering how do psy trance artists get unique sounding presets do they just keep downloading newer presets and tweaking it or make their own presets if they make their own which app do they use to make their own sounds??
