You know the list, when you go to open a VST?
Is there any way humanly possible to clean up that list?
I have a few doubles in there, and also a couple VSTs which have been removed from the computer, but still show up on that list.. It is terribly long and I want to downsize it..
I am not talking about the quick list, I mean the one after you chose More on the drop down list..
I have about 25 that are doubles, because I moved copies of the .dll files into a folder to separate the ones I wanted to use in AA.. So then when I refreshed the list in FL, I got the doubles of all those..
Here's hoping all is well with all..
And if anyone can help, it'd sure be 'preciated..

Re: VST Plugin List Question..
Fri, November 17, 2006 - 4:06 AMin program files
got to IMAGE LINE folder
then open the FLSTudio 5 (or 6) folder
open the VST plugins folder
and physically remove the .dll you want to get rid of from the list
( a good idea is to store an extra VST .dll list in another location in case you ever want to get them back)
Make sure you also check to see if there is a Steinberg folder and also find the VST folder there to
eliminate the list.
Now close Fruity Loops and reopen it. That should do it, as far as I know.
Now my question...............................why doesn't FlStudio come up with a way to organze VST plugins
in to your own folders?
There are so many plugs out there with weird names. In my big list of VST plugins (for reinstallation purposes should,
god forbid, I ever had a hard drive crash) I have all my plugins listed by what function they provide (Equalization, Delays, Modulators,
Soft Synths, Weird, Generative plugins, etc.)
Because there is no way (at least in version 5.0) to organize them, I just keep a small list of the hundreds of plugs that I"ve amassed over time.
Anyone know if they took care of this problem in version 6.0? -
